Sagaia is the western title of Darius II on Mega Drive, Taito horizontal shoot with ships facing giant bosses inspired by marine fauna. The 16 bit conversion keeps the game's identity and the Zuntata soundtrack stays memorable. Solid for Taito shoot fans, genre classic.

Sagaia is the Western title for the Mega Drive port of Darius II, and the American Genesis cartridge proves markedly harder to source than its Japanese counterpart. Taito's horizontal scrolling, colossal aquatic bosses and the Zuntata score explain the shmup crowd's lasting attachment. Scarcity of the NTSC US edition lifts values despite a modest review reputation.
