Saints Row 2 is the unbridled sandbox entry that established the saga. Revisited Stilwater, deep customisation, trash humour and total freedom. The foundation of modern SR, darker than 3 but more generous in open content.

Collector interest

The Korean version of Saints Row 2, a Volition open-world action game that pushes Stilwater's gang war toward excess and humor. A mainstream title widely distributed in the West, it keeps little intrinsic scarcity, and its collecting interest is confined to the lower availability of this Korean run. Demand low, limited to completists of the Korean PS3 catalogue, with no reach beyond.

A questionable morality

Running a gang that becomes a commercial brand and then frankly presidential lets you get away with just about anything: heists, deranged urban destruction and weapons each more absurd than the last. The tongue-in-cheek tone is so heavy that you quickly forget the lengthening rap sheet, savoring this grand criminal playground as an avowed parody rather than a thug's handbook.

Is Saints Row 2 still worth playing in 2026?

An open world action game from Volition, Saints Row 2 sends the player to reclaim the city of Stilwater at the head of a gang, in a criminal sandbox that embraces excess and unrestrained humour, far from its rivals' realism. The deep character customisation, the online co-op and the freedom of chaos make it a gleeful vent. The lesser technical production weighs a little. An excellent game for fans of criminal open worlds, offbeat humour and chaos to share on PS3.
