Saints Row IV sends the Boss to the White House with unleashed superpowers and an absolutely hilarious video game parody. It is completely chaotic, the writing keeps bending every code, and two-player co-op promises unforgettable laughs with a friend sharing the controls.

When the game breaks the 4th wall

A delirious sandbox where you play a US President flung into an alien simulation: the perfect excuse for nonstop self-mockery that fully owns its nature as a video game. Pastiches of other genres, pointed jabs at conventions and chummy asides to the player pile up without restraint. The fourth wall here isn't broken once but trampled, with infectious glee.

A questionable morality

Running a gang that becomes a commercial brand and then frankly presidential lets you get away with just about anything: heists, deranged urban destruction and weapons each more absurd than the last. The tongue-in-cheek tone is so heavy that you quickly forget the lengthening rap sheet, savoring this grand criminal playground as an avowed parody rather than a thug's handbook.

Is Saints Row IV still worth playing in 2026?

A delirious peak of the series from Volition, Saints Row IV propels the Saints' leader to the US presidency before plunging him into an alien simulation where he gains superpowers, superhuman running and giant leaps foremost. The total madness of the concept, the exhilarating freedom of movement and the unabashed parodic humour make it a joyful, completely uninhibited sandbox. The repetitive mission structure barely tempers the fun. A zany open world for fans of superheroic chaos and absurd humour.
