Successor to GGen Wars, even more ambitious. Expanded Gundam roster covering all series up to 2010, revised Generation Break mechanics, deep customization. Grid-based tactical combat with ever more spectacular 3D cutscenes. Online mode opened for co-op campaigns, online achievements. Still Japan-only. For hardcore Gundam and deep SRPG fans, colossal hundreds-of-hours content.

Is SD Gundam - GGeneration World still worth playing in 2026?

A tactical RPG from Bandai Namco, SD Gundam - GGeneration World gathers an immense roster of mobile suits from the whole Gundam saga in tactical turn based battles, where you assemble a squad, develop your machines and replay the franchise's great moments across its many worlds. The generosity of the fan service, the strategic depth and the pleasure of collecting mecha appeal to Gundam fans and tactics fans. The very Japanese character and the absence of a western localisation target a knowledgeable audience. For a Gundam fan or a tactical RPG fan, the title keeps a preserved richness and fidelity.
