Gain Ground Sega Ages remasters the cult tactical arcade. Rescue soldiers, move units on a grid and tackle finely tuned challenges. A Sega oddity to savour slowly.

Is Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 9 - Gain Ground still worth playing in 2026?
A recreation by 3D Ages of Sega's arcade tactical action game, this volume restores Gain Ground, where you guide a team of heroes with varied abilities across the eras, seeking to reach each stage's exit rather than to destroy everything. The hybrid concept between action and strategy, the character variety and the tactical depth stay surprisingly fresh. The austerity and the Japan exclusivity limit access. A singular reworking for fans of retro tactical action and of Sega catalogue curiosities.
