Collector interest

An entry in the Seiken Densetsu series praised for its finely hand-painted backdrops and its world-building system where the player places locations on the map themselves. Its interest lies in this plastic beauty and its singular fragmented structure rather than scarcity, the Japanese edition appealing to those wanting the original version. A prime piece for fans of refined action RPGs.

Is Seiken Densetsu - Legend of Mana still worth playing in 2026?

A Square action RPG, this Seiken Densetsu known as Legend of Mana strikes with its sumptuous watercolour art direction and its world that the player rebuilds by placing locations on a blank map. The freedom of progression, the many side crafts and the poetic atmosphere make it a work apart in the Mana saga. The fragmented structure and an occasionally confused combat throw off those used to linear stories. A contemplative, gorgeous RPG to recommend for fans of strong art direction and free exploration.
