Shadow Man is an Acclaim PS1 action-adventure based on Valiant comics. Michael LeRoi, the Shadow Man, explores voodoo underworlds to prevent an apocalypse. Dark and oppressive atmosphere, labyrinthine world and unique Afro-Caribbean setting. An original and mature action title too little known.

Is Shadow Man still worth playing in 2026?

An Acclaim action adventure from the Valiant comic, Shadow Man has you explore a vast dark world split between the land of the living and the Deadside, in a clammy, mature voodoo mood. The non linear structure, the oppressive atmosphere and the freedom of exploration make it a memorable title for fans of adult adventure. The stiff handling, a temperamental camera and a certain lack of polish have aged. An atmospheric action adventure to recommend for fans of occult worlds and dark exploration.
