An expanded version of a vertical famed for its proximity system, it pushes risk-taking even further: skimming the fire as closely as possible multiplies the score but flirts with disaster. Dense patterns, stubborn bosses and pinpoint positioning demand steady nerves and perfect reading. Rich and tense, it satisfies scorers ready to dance with danger to scrape every point.

Is Shikigami no Shiro - Nanayozuki Gensoukyoku still worth playing in 2026?
A vertical shooter from Alfa System, Shikigami no Shiro rests on the tension system, which rewards grazing enemy fire with score multipliers, encouraging play as close to danger as possible. The fantasy world with psychic-powered characters, the bullet density and the scoring depth appeal to fans of demanding shmups. The high difficulty and niche content reserve it for connoisseurs. A good vertical shooter for fans of grazing-based scoring and Japanese arcade shooting.
