Is Shinobido - Imashime still worth playing in 2026?

An action and stealth game from Acquire, Shinobido Way of the Ninja, released in Japan as Shinobido Imashime, extends the Tenchu legacy with a ninja who eliminates targets from the shadows, using self made gadgets, poisons and traps. The freedom of approach, the tense stealth and the item crafting offer real tactical depth. The modest production and a wayward camera weigh it down. A good game for fans of stealth, old fashioned assassination and ninja worlds on PS2, in the line of the genre's masters.
