Collector interest

A sequel to EA's realistic skateboarding, Skate 2 sharpens its dual-stick controls and open urban world, a pillar of a series cult to fans of demanding board play. Still common in the West, its interest lies in this status as a favorite of a loyal niche rather than scarcity. An affordable piece for fans of skate simulation.

Better with friends

A skateboarding game of demanding simulation, where stick-based trick control rewards patience and creativity over button-mashing. The competition plays out in the elegance of lines and a trick one-upmanship, each trying to top the other with a more stylish combo. The original online leans on uncertain servers, but tackling challenges together stays a convivial, inventive rivalry.

Is Skate 2 still worth playing in 2026?

Skate 2 extends and refines the first game's revolutionary formula, with a realistic physics still as convincing and a more alive open world. The ability to step off the board to explore on foot and to move street furniture enriches the search for the spot and the perfect trick. The stick-based control system, demanding but rewarding, keeps that authentic riding feel that defines the series' identity. Slightly eclipsed by the excellent Skate 3 that would follow, it nonetheless remains a solid and enjoyable title. For the skate fan after a realistic experience, the journey stays recommendable.
