Psikyo hybrid shmup/beat-em-up with fantasy characters. Original concept but uneven in execution. The shmup sections are better than the ground phases. An interesting curiosity that doesn't fully convince.

Is Sol Divide still worth playing in 2026?

A hybrid shoot-em-up from Psikyo, Sol Divide blends vertical shooting and sword combat, the character flying through a dark fantasy world chaining spells, melee blows and shots, against monstrous creatures and imposing bosses. This bold crossover between shmup and action, the gothic mood and the singular bestiary make it a thing apart, far from classic shooters. The legibility and balancing divide. A curiosity for fans of offbeat shooting and hybrid ideas on Saturn.
