Sonic and Sega friends compete in karts, the official Sega Mascot Kart. Twenty-five characters from Sega universes (Sonic, Beat, Ulala, Tails, AiAi from Super Monkey Ball), twenty-four themed tracks. Character-specific special items, local four-player multi, online at the time. Competent arcade kart gameplay, plays better than expected but below Mario Kart Wii. Good alternative party racing, Sega fan pleaser.

Is Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing still worth playing in 2026?

A kart racing game from Sumo Digital, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing gathers Sega's mascots on colourful tracks packed with corners, shortcuts and throwable items, against a backdrop of the company's cult music. The snappy arcade driving, the varied cast and the split screen multiplayer make it a solid Mario Kart rival on the console. The lack of originality against the model and an uneven difficulty temper the whole. A good racing game for Sega fans and lovers of arcade karting in multiplayer on Wii.
