A Sega and Sonic Team compilation released in 2005, an anthology of lesser-known Sonic games. Includes Sonic CD (Mega-CD 1993), Sonic R (Saturn 1997), Sonic the Fighters (arcade 1996) and several Game Gear titles (Sonic Drift, Tails Adventure, Sonic Triple Trouble). Decent emulation but uneven selection (missing Sonic 3D Blast). A bonus for hardcore hedgehog franchise fans.
Sega compilation of Mega Drive, Game Gear and arcade classics, notable for bundling Sonic the Fighters and especially Sonic CD, the latter cut from the PAL release over music licensing. The Japanese pressing is the most content-complete and the most sought, driven by the cult standing of a Sonic CD port that was never reissued here.
