Japanese edition of Sonic Unleashed by Sonic Team under the title Sonic World Adventure. Published by Sega, released in December 2008 exclusively in Japan. Sonic transformed by Dark Gaia into Werehog at night crossing the globe to reconstitute the planet shattered by Eggman, over eight fictional continents traversed inspired by real world including Apotos Greece, Mazuri Africa and Spagonia Italy, dual gameplay mixing Sonic 3D speed by day with high-speed stages and Werehog beat'em up by night with kung-fu combat, Hub Worlds mechanic for semi-open continent exploration, over twelve main missions and thirty side missions, Japanese and English voice-over with Junichi Kanemaru as Sonic, soundtrack by Tomoya Ohtani.
