Is Soul Cradle - Sekai o Kurau Mono still worth playing in 2026?

A Nippon Ichi tactical RPG known in the West as Soul Nomad, Soul Cradle follows Revya, a hero bound to Gig, a sharp tongued world devouring demon, in a struggle to save the universe. The squad based combat, the cynical writing and the dark humour signed NIS give the adventure a real personality, doubled by a particularly bleak alternate mode. The sprite art direction and a certain tactical classicism temper the ambition. A tactical RPG to recommend for fans of NIS and biting writing.
