Space Harrier adapts Sega's pseudo 3D arcade shooter to Game Gear with its flying protagonist and fantastical creatures. A port of Sega's cult rail shooter, Space Harrier propels the hero into a fake 3D scroll where he dodges and blasts a deluge of enemies and psychedelic obstacles. The sense of speed, the forward scrolling and the surreal aesthetic make it an arcade classic, whose Game Gear version captures the spirit surprisingly well despite the technical limits.
