A cocky arcade racer, Speed Devils bets on tracks that morph in real time, fickle weather and tornadoes included, with a wagering system that pushes you to take risks. The sense of speed and the staging still hold up well, and it was a technical showcase of the launch lineup. The textures sting and the aggressive AI can frustrate, but the fun-racer spirit stays contagious. An underrated arcade racer that is a real pleasure to rediscover today.
