Star Force ports the Tehkan vertical arcade shoot on Japanese Hudson Soft Famicom with its spaceship facing alien invasion on multiple cosmic stages. The representation offers vertical scrolling with shots and bonuses in an original Japanese arcade vertical shoot precursor formula. Honest for Famicom shoot fans, curiosity of the 8 bit ported Hudson catalog.

Collector interest

Tehkan's pioneering vertical shooter converted by Hudson Soft, in its European PAL version where the Final Star ship crosses letter-named zones and hides the Cleopatra bonus. Released late and in low quantity in Europe, this early Hudson scoring landmark is markedly harder to gather complete in PAL than in the US version. Its place in shmup history and the scarcity of its European box sustain a price above the NTSC counterpart, drawing genre-history collectors.
