Star Fox reimagined as a 3D Zelda-style adventure by Rare. Fox on foot with a magic staff, dinosaur-themed exploration. The pitch disconcerts shoot fans but the adventure is beautiful and polished. A Rare curio to take as a parallel Star Fox.

Star Fox Adventures (GameCube) price, value & rarity
The Japanese initial edition of Star Fox Adventures is the original pressing of the last Rare/Nintendo title in a very limited local print. Collector value comes from that regional scarcity.
Is Star Fox Adventures still worth playing in 2026?
An action adventure by Rare before its Microsoft acquisition, Star Fox Adventures radically diverts the traditional shoot formula of the saga to offer a Zelda style adventure starring Fox McCloud. The puzzles, the exploration of Sauria and the animal companions work surprisingly well despite the distance from the original codes. Visually sumptuous for the console, the title divides series fans but remains an excellent action adventure in its own right. Worth rediscovering with an open mind for anyone who appreciates Rare's work.
