Star Gladiator 2 - Nightmare of Bilstein (Dreamcast) price, value & rarity
An in-store demo disc for Plasma Sword, the sequel to Capcom's plasma-sword fighter, never sold in this form. Its interest comes from its tentou taikenban status, a presentation press given to retailers rather than the public and therefore made in very few units. Collectors of Capcom Dreamcast fighters hunt these variants for their genuine scarcity.
Is Star Gladiator 2 - Nightmare of Bilstein still worth playing in 2026?
Known in the West as Plasma Sword, this 3D versus pits fighters crossing plasma blades in zero-gravity arenas, with a very theatrical Capcom cast. The melee-weapon system gives it an identity of its own in the publisher's fighting catalog, more measured than its 2D titles. The angular models have aged poorly and the balance is uneven, but the space-opera mood and the joy of blade duels keep some charm. A curiosity for fans of retro versus fighters.
