Is Stargate still worth playing in 2026?

An adaptation of the sci-fi film, Stargate has the player fight Ra's forces across action and shooting levels. The faithfulness to the film's world and a few Egyptian backdrops give it some character, but the repetitive gameplay, a frustrating difficulty and a plain presentation place it in the lower middle of the era's licensed games. A curiosity mainly for fans of the film and collectors of movie tie-ins, less so for demanding action fans.
