A pleasant Infogrames 3D platformer with Starshot the space clown. Eight themed planet-arenas, light humour and classic challenges. The tech is limited and the camera fussy, but the space-circus universe has a charm of its own that saves the title from being forgotten.

Collector interest

European version of Starshot Space Circus Fever, an Infogrames 3D platformer in English, French and German. The PAL release is by far the most common form of the game, keeping loose and complete prices very approachable. A curio with kitsch charm, its collecting interest lies chiefly in the contrast with the far scarcer USA edition; it is the affordable counterpart for anyone wanting the game without paying the North American rarity tax.

Is Starshot - Space Circus Fever still worth playing in 2026?

A 3D platformer from Infogrames, Starshot - Space Circus Fever has you play a space clown who travels through wacky worlds to save a galactic circus from a villain's misdeeds. The offbeat world, the colourful art direction and the variety of situations give a likeable identity, in the vein of the era's 3D mascot platformers. The improvable handling and the camera cap the fun. For a fan of retro 3D platforming or someone curious about Infogrames productions, the title keeps an eccentric charm and a likeability.
