Strider, the PS1 port of Capcom's arcade classic starring futuristic ninja Hiryu, in its European PAL edition released in early 2000. An end-of-generation title with a tight European run, making this a late PAL release distinctly scarcer than its US counterpart. The price, firm complete and held up even loose, reflects genuine underlying demand crossed with limited PAL distribution and a respected arcade-faithful conversion.

Is Strider still worth playing in 2026?

A PlayStation port of Capcom's action game, Strider puts you in control of the ninja Hiryu, twirling through snappy levels with his cypher blade in a stylised science fiction mood. The speed, the fluidity of the acrobatic moves and the punchy level design keep a striking energy, inherited from the cult arcade cabinet. The high difficulty calls for mastery. A great name in 2D action to recommend for fans of snappy games, ninjas and Capcom arcade craft.
