A side story of Super Robot Wars' Alpha series, this Banpresto mecha tactical RPG unfolds a post-Alpha scenario with a vast roster of robots from many anime. This Premium Edition is the title's top-tier format, enhanced with dedicated contents, prized by saga fans. Its desirability rests on the recognized quality of this entry and on the status of this special edition reserved for Japan.

Is Super Robot Taisen Alpha Gaiden still worth playing in 2026?

A Banpresto tactical entry, Super Robot Taisen Alpha Gaiden extends the Alpha branch with an alternate scenario and grid based turn battles gathering mechs from many anime. The spectacular attack animations, the squadron management and the thrill of the crossover reach a fine level of polish here. The measured pace, the grinding and the language barrier limit access. A generous strategy to recommend for fans of Japanese tactical RPGs and animation robots.
