Gas Powered Games port Supreme Commander to 360 with an extremely satisfying strategic zoom system. Managing giant armies on a pad takes some adapting, but the simulation remains impressive and offers a rare console RTS especially welcome on the Microsoft machine.

Is Supreme Commander still worth playing in 2026?

A real time strategy from Gas Powered Games, Supreme Commander leans on excess with huge maps, armies of hundreds of units and a continuous zoom letting you go from the strategic overview to the close battlefield. The economy management, the large scale planning and the giant commander robots win over strategists. The pad adaptation is inevitably less supple than on PC, and the tactical heaviness deters the hurried. An ambitious strategy game for fans of large scale RTS.
