Starbreeze relaunch the Syndicate franchise as a dystopian cyberpunk FPS with a tactically rich mental hack system. Four-player co-op is gleeful, the synthwave score earwormy, and even if the solo campaign is short, this is a great atmospheric FPS worth rediscovering quickly.

Is Syndicate still worth playing in 2026?

An FPS from Starbreeze, Syndicate reinvents the cyberpunk strategy classic as a snappy shooter, where an augmented agent hacks the minds and gear of his enemies through a neural implant. The mid combat hacking, the icy corporate mood and the four player co-op win over fans of shooting and anticipation fiction. The betrayal of the original genre and a short solo divide. A good FPS for fans of dystopian science fiction and augmented shooting, especially praised for its polished co-op mode.
