Syphon Filter The Omega Strain pivots to online multiplayer. More open missions, online co-op and tactical focus. Rough but bold, worth a curious look.

Description
A Sony Bend and Sony TPS released in 2004, the first original PS2 Syphon Filter franchise entry and the only true PS2 series entry. Agent Gabe Logan leads a special operations team against a global bioterrorist threat. Stealth and shooting mechanics signature, online cooperative mode (innovation for the time) and both solo and cooperative missions. Solid TPS action.

Syphon Filter - The Omega Strain (PS2) price, value & rarity
Is Syphon Filter - The Omega Strain still worth playing in 2026?
Stealth and action from Sony Bend, Syphon Filter The Omega Strain extends the espionage series on PS2 by leaning on more open missions, an online cooperative dimension and a customisable agent fighting a global bioterrorist threat. The variety of gadgets, the freedom of stealthy or forceful approach and the scope of the missions win over genre fans. The camera and an uneven presentation temper the whole, and the online aspect has dried up. A good stealth game for fans of action espionage and of the Syphon Filter saga.
