Is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 - Battle Nexus still worth playing in 2026?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 - Battle Nexus is a side-scrolling beat 'em up adapted from the 2003 animated series, where the four turtles face new enemies with combos and techniques specific to each. The action stays snappy and the multiplayer adds spice, but the repetitive level design and a certain stiffness in the fights betray its limits. For fans of the Ninja Turtles and unpretentious portable beat 'em ups, it offers a decent outlet, mainly carried by attachment to the license.
