This edition keeps the enriched scenery but retouches several introduction screens and adjusts a few palettes, notably in the night passages. The turtle sprites and their animations remain identical, preserving the already proven readability, and the recurring enemies keep their colour variants.
The ordering of the pieces closely follows the division into levels, each zone keeping its theme from one end of the run to the other. The victory and selection jingles stay short, and the writing favours clean melodic lines that cut easily through the din of blows and impacts.
