Is Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas - The Pumpkin King still worth playing in 2026?

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas - The Pumpkin King is an action-adventure serving as a prequel to the film, where Jack Skellington roams Halloween Town to counter the threat of Oogie Boogie. The gothic mood and the aesthetic faithful to Tim Burton's universe are its main draw, carried by a polished art direction. The platforming gameplay, however, stays fairly basic and the handling sometimes stiff. Kept exclusive to Japan, it will appeal mainly to fans of the film's universe and of atmospherically charged platformers, more than to genre purists.
