Description
A Namco rail shooter released in 2004, the Crisis Zone Time Crisis franchise spin-off. The player takes on a special forces operative armed with a machine gun instead of the franchise's signature pistol. 4 stages in a city taken by terrorists, signature dynamic cover mechanics, GunCon2 support. More dynamic than the main Time Crisis entries. PS2 adaptation of the 1999 arcade.

Collector interest

The Korean edition of Time Crisis - Crisis Zone, a spin-off of Namco's rail shooter that swaps the pistol for a machine gun and the signature cover system. Its interest lies in the aura of this light-gun arcade license and this local release rather than scarcity. A niche piece for rail-shooter fans and collectors of Korean versions.

Is Time Crisis - Crisis Zone still worth playing in 2026?

A rail shooter from Namco, Time Crisis Crisis Zone twists the series' formula by handing the player a special forces member armed with a submachine gun and a shield, in intense gunfights where you trigger firing and cover with the pedal, ideally with the GunCon. The frantic pace, the destructible shield system and the spectacle of shattering scenery win over arcade shooting fans. The reliance on the peripheral limits access. An excellent rail shooter for fans of snappy light gun.
