A rail shooter from Namco, Time Crisis Crisis Zone twists the series' formula by handing the player a special forces member armed with a submachine gun and a shield, in intense gunfights where you trigger firing and cover with the pedal, ideally with the GunCon. The frantic pace, the destructible shield system and the spectacle of shattering scenery win over arcade shooting fans. The reliance on the peripheral limits access. An excellent rail shooter for fans of snappy light gun.
