Memorable bosses

A dazzling crossover of Atlus and Fire Emblem, this JRPG builds its battles on Sessions, cascading attack chains that exploit weaknesses. Mirage-inspired bosses demand orchestrating your party to unleash dizzying, stylish combos. A pop-idol aesthetic and an upbeat score turn every clash into a genuinely high-energy show.

Is Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore still worth playing in 2026?

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is an unlikely crossover, pop idols and Fire Emblem, that found an identity all its own. Its Session system, where one attack triggers a cascading chain of assaults, is a joy to optimise and stays its greatest asset. The colourful pop art direction, the stage performances mid-battle and the rhythmic soundtrack lend a unique energy. The downside: a conventional story, sometimes repetitive dungeon-crawling and a very Japanese tone that will not speak to everyone. But as a stylish, original JRPG, this enriched Encore version still holds up very well today.
