Splinter Cell Double Agent clearly shifts the formula by putting Sam Fisher undercover among terrorists. The double-cross and moral choices genuinely add something, even if some missions have aged less gracefully than others.

The entry pulls Sam Fisher out of the night: an Icelandic oil platform under a white sky, a Mexican beach in full sun, a prison yard crushed by light, situations where shadow does not exist and you must hide among people rather than in darkness. The series loses its usual language here and has to invent, in broad daylight, another way of being invisible.

Is Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Double Agent still worth playing in 2026?

An entry from Ubisoft, Splinter Cell Double Agent places Sam Fisher undercover within a terrorist cell, torn between his cover and his mission, with a trust gauge weighing on every decision. The shadow infiltration, the moral tension and the open environments stay gripping. The 360 version shines technically, even if some design choices divide. An excellent stealth game for fans of demanding infiltration and espionage dilemmas under pressure.
