Tomb Raider The Last Revelation returns to Egypt for the Lara Croft saga. New swinging mechanic and interconnected levels in Egyptian pyramids and tombs. Darker and more mature, with a surprising ending. An excellent entry intelligently renewing the Tomb Raider formula on PS1.

The Japanese version of Tomb Raider IV - The Last Revelation, released into a market where Core Design's Western adventure remained niche against local RPGs. Japanese pressings of the series, made in low volumes and often given their own packaging, are markedly harder to find than their PAL or US NTSC counterparts. Desirability rests on this regional scarcity and on the pull Japanese editions hold for cross-continental collectors.

Is Tomb Raider IV - The Last Revelation still worth playing in 2026?

Lara Croft's fourth adventure, The Last Revelation sends the explorer to Egypt on the trail of the god Seth she accidentally freed, in a tighter, more continuous narrative than the previous entries. The ambitious puzzles, the polished temple settings and the mystical atmosphere mark a peak of the classic exploration and platforming formula. The stiff tank controls and a temperamental camera have aged. A great Tomb Raider for fans of cerebral adventure and nostalgics of the series' golden age.
