Tropico 5 deepens the simulation with historical eras and a ruling dynasty system. The 360 version stays decent but clearly inferior to PC, with some optimisations missing. A good pick for a modern Tropico on console.

Is Tropico 5 still worth playing in 2026?

An entry from Haemimont Games, Tropico 5 has the El Presidente dynasty cross the eras, from the colonial age to the modern world, with a research tree, family dynasties and a new co-op and competitive mode. The temporal scope, the management depth and the satirical humour pleasantly enrich the formula. The pad interface and some simplifications compared to the PC weigh. An excellent city builder for fans of long term political management and simulation with sharp humour.
