The Japanese release of True Lies on Super Famicom is the most atypical form of this American film tie-in: limited presence in its home market, an SFC cardboard box and period spine card. For the import collector the interest lies in this Eastern take on a Western licence, seldom seen in Japanese collections. A clean complete copy is a less obvious piece to assemble outside Japan than its Western counterparts, making it a sought-after curio.
