The horizontal shooter trades space for a bestiary of dread: winged skeletons, swarms of bats, haunted castles and graveyards flown over at headstone height. The palette leans to violets and sickly greens, and the bosses borrow from demon engravings rather than science fiction. An uncommon crossing of genres.
The accompaniment pushes the FM chip toward organ and synthetic choirs, with minor chord progressions that recall horror film scoring. The rhythms stay driving to hold the tension of the shooting, but the chosen timbres set a crypt-like gravity rather than the genre's usual energy.
Complete: box, manual and disc/cart very clean. Lightly handled.

Undead Line is the Japan-exclusive edition of the Palsoft shooter, released only in Japan in a very limited local print run. Its collector value is exceptional: it is one of the rarest and most expensive Japanese Megadrive shmups on the secondary market, with its unique horror aesthetic and its mixed shooter gameplay.

A multidirectional shoot by Palsoft, Undead Line offers a horror shoot where the hero faces undead hordes through seedy environments. The unique dark fantasy art direction, oppressive atmosphere and original handling make it a particularly atypical curiosity of the Japanese Mega Drive catalogue. Without official western translation, the title needs few linguistic notions but remains niche. For atypical and atmospheric shoot fans, a warm recommendation still valid today without hesitation truly indeed here for any genre fan now.
