Urban Chaos Riot Response brings Rocksteady to urban FPS territory. Riots, special gear and tense missions. Rough but energetic, a forgotten step before Batman Arkham.

Description
A Rocksteady and Eidos FPS released in 2006, the first real Rocksteady-signed game (before Batman Arkham). The player takes on Nick Mason, Major Crimes Unit agent, who fights the terrorist Burner Squad across a large metropolis in riot. Dynamic FPS combat with riot weapons (taser, shield), prioritization of endangered civilians and two-player local cooperative mode. Solid and original FPS, prelude to Rocksteady talent.

Is Urban Chaos - Riot Response still worth playing in 2026?

A first person shooter from Rocksteady, Urban Chaos Riot Response places the player in an elite intervention unit tasked with quelling a wave of urban riots, between gunfights, protecting civilians and using the riot shield. The brutal realism of the clashes, the tense urban mood and the concern for protecting the innocent make it a solid, singular shooter. The dated production and a degree of repetition weigh a little. A good shooter for fans of gritty FPS and realistic urban action.
