Collector interest

NanaOn-Sha's rhythm oddity builds its stages from any audio CD you load, and it never reached North America, making the PAL release the only Western pressing collectors can chase. The modest European print run plus the cult standing of its vector visuals and Vibri the rabbit keep demand steady, with sealed copies commanding the real premium.

An underrated gem

A rhythm game of radical austerity, all in white lines, with the genius idea of generating its levels from any audio CD slipped into the console. Never released in America and too avant-garde, it stayed under the radar. Its stylish minimalism and unique concept make it a cult object for fans of original musical experiences.

Is Vib-Ribbon still worth playing in 2026?

A minimalist rhythm game from NanaOn-Sha, Vib-Ribbon moves the rabbit Vibri along a vector line whose obstacles match the music, all in a stripped down wireframe aesthetic of rare elegance. The big idea lies in the ability to play with your own CDs, the game generating a course from any music. The abstract concept and the high difficulty unsettle at first. A cult, singular work for fans of inventive rhythm games and daring design.
