A simple drawing and animation tool on NES. More creative than playful, limited by the console's colors and memory. Interesting for curious kids, soon limited to short tries.

Description
Drawing and animation application for creating still images and short sequences with the controller. Published by THQ, released in 1991 in the United States. Colour palette, drawing tools and on-cart save. NTSC US release only.
Videomation sits in an odd corner of the NES library, the utility cartridge made for drawing rather than playing. THQ gave this creative software little distribution, and it stayed locked to the American NTSC market, which keeps it on the radar of collectors who chase non-game oddities and unusual box art. Its desirability rests on that status as a fringe tool, released late as attention shifted toward 16-bit hardware.
