The Fukkoku-ban is the Japanese cut of Virtua Fighter 10th Anniversary. Same careful tribute and enhanced VF1 port. For Japanese Sega 3D purists.

Description
A Sega-AM2 3D fighter released in 2004, the Japanese Fukkoku-ban (Reprint Edition) of Virtua Fighter 10th Anniversary. Commemorative compilation including Virtua Fighter 1 (1993) and Virtua Fighter 2 (1994), the first two entries of the revolutionary franchise that invented 3D combat. Faithful arcade emulation, retrospective atmosphere. Japanese edition distributed two months after the European version.

Is Virtua Fighter - 10th Anniversary Fukkoku-ban still worth playing in 2026?

An anniversary edition of Sega's Virtua Fighter, this version celebrates ten years of the series by offering the reference 3D fighting in a build enriched with costumes and nods, distributed at a reduced price. The purity of the combat system, built on timing, positioning and reading the opponent rather than spectacular combos, makes it a peak of technical brawling. The modest production matters little against the depth. An excellent fighting game for fans of demanding 3D versus and Virtua Fighter heritage.
