WarCraft II The Dark Saga is the PS1 port of Blizzard's legendary RTS. Orcs and Humans in an epic Azeroth, base building and real-time battles. Successfully adapted to the controller, difficult but satisfying. A remarkable port of a foundational RTS PC classic on PS1.

Is WarCraft II - The Dark Saga still worth playing in 2026?

A console port of Blizzard's classic, WarCraft II - The Dark Saga transposes the medieval fantasy real time strategy between Humans and Orcs, with the campaign and its Beyond the Dark Portal expansion. The tactical richness, the resource management and the base building stay excellent, faithful to the original. The pad control adaptation sorely lacks the suppleness of the mouse, which weighs the game down. A great RTS for fans of the genre's historic strategy, provided you accept the reduced comfort.
