An action platformer from Crystal Dynamics, Whiplash stages an improbable duo, a lab rabbit chained to a caustic weasel, who escape a testing facility using the animal as a weapon to whip enemies and obstacles. The offbeat concept, the biting anti corporate humour and the chain mechanic win over fans of atypical platforming. The repetition and a modest production weigh on it. A singular title for fans of original 3D platforming and dark humour from the Xbox era.
