Sequel to Wii Sports, released four years later requiring MotionPlus for enhanced precision. Twelve new sports on a tropical island: swordplay, archery, frisbee, basketball, table tennis, wakeboarding, 18-hole golf, 100-pin bowling, jet-ski, canoe, cycling, plane. Deeper and more precise than the original. Local four-player multi, vacation vibe. MotionPlus essential. Excellent sequel, more content but loses original simplicity.

Is Wii Sports Resort still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel to Nintendo's showcase bundled with the Wii MotionPlus, Wii Sports Resort uses the refined motion detection for twelve disciplines set on Wuhu Island, from sword fighting to frisbee, jet ski and archery. The regained precision transforms the experience and makes each gesture more accurate and rewarding. The variety and the shared fun make it a reference party game on the console. An excellent sports game to recommend for families and fans of multiplayer motion challenges.
