Is Windjammers 2 still worth playing in 2026?
Windjammers 2 pulls off the tough feat of extending an arcade classic twenty-eight years on. This supercharged frisbee on a zoned court stays perfectly readable: lobs, curved shots, smashes and feints chain into snappy duels where reading matters as much as reflexes. The new hand-drawn animation is gorgeous and fluid, the roster well characterised. The solo content amounts to a slightly thin arcade mode. But as an immediate, deep and demanding versus game, local or online, it honours its ancestor with a strikingly fresh feel that still delights today.
