World Heroes is the first fighting game of ADK's series, in which legendary warriors of history, from samurai to ninjas, clash in a tournament, with a Death Match mode whose arenas are riddled with traps. The historical-fighter concept, the humor and the Death Match bring a likable identity, founding a cult series. The slightly stiff playability and a perfectible balancing show their age against the SNK references. For fans of retro versus fighting and ADK curiosities, it is an endearing founding title.
