Sega strings its tableaux together like music-hall turns: a forest of giant leaves, a seabed crossed inside a bubble, a flying carpet above the clouds, theatre wings where the curtain rises. Mickey and Donald each have their own animations, and the sets gain depth from carefully layered planes.
The soundtrack borrows from the stage-show register: light waltzes, fanfare brass, a music box for the enchanted passages. Every tableau gets its own theme and the tempo matches the duo's pace, brisker in the chases, almost lulling underwater. A warm accompaniment, cut for an adventure shared by two.
The USA/Korea edition of World of Illusion is the regional pressing of the Sega Disney game, distributed by Sega in the United States and SKC Soft in Korea. Its collector value comes from the fact that the SKC Soft Korea Disney pressings remain particularly rare and that the cartridge is one of the hardest Korean Sega Disney localizations to track down.
