Is World Series Baseball '96 still worth playing in 2026?
A sequel to the Sega baseball, World Series Baseball '96 refines the genre benchmark with updated rosters, an enriched presentation and gameplay tweaks, while keeping the behind-the-pitcher view and the simulation depth that were its strength. The readability and the joy of the game phases stay excellent, especially in two-player. The step up from the previous entry stays measured and the interface has aged. A safe bet of 16-bit baseball, worth recommending to fans of retro MLB simulation.
