The original Worms on Saturn, fun and addictive as always. Terrain destruction and absurd weapons remain hilarious. Less content than sequels but the base formula is perfect. Ideal for casual multiplayer battles.

Is Worms still worth playing in 2026?

A turn based strategy from Team17 and carried over by MicroProse, Worms pits squads of armed worms on destructible 2D terrains, with bazooka, grenades and the famous exploding sheep. The management of wind, placement and timing, the dark humour and the side by side multiplayer make a timeless and terribly convivial tactical formula. The Saturn version conveys the concept well. For a fan of turn based strategy or someone nostalgic for multiplayer, the title keeps an intact tactical and mischievous pleasure, especially in groups.
