A fresh batch of zany weapons and customization options, this version pushes the art of calculating your shot to wipe out the team across from you even further. Building your strategy, triggering the right chain and snatching victory with your last worm revive the urge for one more game. The formula moves little and matches drag on, but this tactical chaos stays irresistible among friends.
The NTSC release of Worms World Party is the US version of Team17's sequel in a modest print. Collector value comes from this being the last official Worms appearance on US Dreamcast and from the DC version being considered one of the most complete of the entry.
Better with friends
A fresh salvo of the worm war, fuller in wacky weapons, modes and maps to scrap over together. The competition stays a delicious mix of ballistic calculation and twists of fate that flip the game on a burst of laughter. The wait between turns and a stinging miss can grate, but the creativity of the destruction and the humor unfailingly bring everyone back around the screen.
Is Worms World Party still worth playing in 2026?
A natural evolution of Worms Armageddon, Worms World Party mainly adds the online mode and a few gameplay tweaks. The base stays identical with the same humorous chaos and deranged arsenal. On Dreamcast the ability to face other players online through the console service remains a notable historical asset. For anyone who already owns Armageddon the upgrade is marginal, but for newcomers to the formula this is probably the most complete version to favour today on the machine for any first time.
